6 June, 2003 Press Release JOBURG HOSTS A CAREER EXHIBITION To give local learners a taste of what the world of work offers them and to help them decide on how to prepare for the future, the City of Johannesburg, Region 11, Library and Information Services has organised a careers exhibition. The exhibition will take place at the Ennerdale Extension 9 Civic Centre during the week of 9-13 June from 09:00 to 16:00 every day. The official opening will be held on Monday, 9 June from 12:00 to 14:00. Nine major universities and technikons including Wits Technikon, Rand Afrikaans University and MEDUNSA will be exhibiting. Eskom, the Department of Transport and Telkom will also be there to publicise the career opportunities that exist in their organisations. Learners in grades 11 and 12 from 25 schools in Ennerdale, Lenasia, Lenasia South, Orange Farm and adjacent areas will be visiting the exhibition by invitation. Anyone else who is interested is welcome to attend.
