FESTIVE TREES AND HAMPERS FOR JORBURG CHARITIES
The City of Johannesburg will today, distribute festive trees and hampers to various charity organizations at 18h00.
This is as a result of a decision by council last month to donate 16 fully decorated festive trees to the same number of charity organisations recommended by the Executive Mayor.
To further brighten the festive season the underprivileged in the city, the Johannesburg Fresh Produce Market and its partners Nestle, Simba Chips, Drinks Galore and Greystone Meat Market have also come to the party and donated 1 849 festive food hampers to be value of just over R100 000. In addition, each organisation will receive a R1 250 voucher to spend at Drinks Galore where they can purchase a whole range of additional goodies.
The representatives of the selected organistions will be present at the handover ceremony to take place at 158 Loveday Street, Braamfontein - Metro Centre, Piazza (Next to the Main Entrance of the Building) at 18h00.
