JORISSEN PLACE CASHIERS DESK TO CLOSE EARLY ON FRIDAY DUE TO MOVE
The City's main Rates Hall, located in Jorissen Place, Jorissen Street, Braamfontein, is to close early this week Friday (11 November) due to the Revenue Department moving.
According to Revenue Department spokesperson Mandy Jean Woods the Revenue Department began moving during the first week of November. A number of units within the department have already completed their move to the new building at Thuso House, 61 Jorissen Street (corner Jorissen and Simmonds Streets), Braamfontein. The new postal address is PO Box 5000, Johannesburg 2001.
"The cashiers are scheduled to move on Friday and Saturday this week (ie 11 and 12 November). They will therefore be closing on Friday at 2pm; and limited cashiers will be on duty on Saturday at Jorissen Place," she says.
Customers are asked to take note of these arrangements. "If customers wish to make payments and don't want to come to Jorissen Place on Friday or Saturday, they are encouraged to use any SA Post Office, any EasyPay paypoint (like Pick 'n Pay) or any major bank's branch, ATM or internet banking sites," says Woods.
The Rates Hall will now be known as the Revenue Customer Service Centre. The entrance for customers is via Stiemens Street (corner Stiemens and Simmonds Streets).
"We have plenty of secure parking for our customers and have a purpose built facility that is likely to ensure a smooth and satisfactory experience for our customers," says Woods.
