JUST moved in a new house or flat and no idea how to decorate? Get the latest trends on interior style at the Rooms on View exhibition, currently on at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The exhibition showcases lifestyle trends, with the latest in interior design. There are luxurious and stylish settings for living rooms, dining rooms, studies and bedrooms, providing "a tangible view of what is possible using the wide range of merchandise available to the decorating world and its pool of creative talent", according to the exhibition website www.roomsonview.co.za.
Over 120 interior designers, furniture companies, fabric houses and art and antiques dealers are taking part in the event from Thursday 25 May to Sunday 28 May, with the Mo ë t & Chandon champagne bar offering refreshment to the tired visitor.

"Rooms on View is the only window on what South African decorating and design actually is," says Paul Duncan, editor of House & Garden, one of the show's sponsors. "It's world-class and smart, and embraces not only decorators and lifestyle merchants but the best new young names to watch in the future."
Leading designers South African are involved, including Stephen Falcke, Sharon Fihrer, Tessa Proudfoot, Fergus Armstrong and Grant Webster, with internationally acclaimed interior designer David Easton the guest of honour.
A neoclassicist, Easton has made his name designing collections for companies such as Henredon Furniture, Walters Wicker, Lee Jofa Fabrics, Beauvais Carpets, Cole and Sons and Robert Abbey.
He was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 1992 and given a Lifetime Achievement Award at London's Design and Decoration Awards in 2005.
Easton will host a workshop on Friday 26 May from 10am to noon, presenting a slide show of his work and discussing the latest US trends in décor and design.
Some 20 000 people attended Rooms on View in 2005, with organisers expecting to increase on that number at this year's exhibition.
Rooms on View is open to the trade on Thursday 25 May from 10am to 5pm, and to the public on Friday 26 May from 10am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
Exhibition tickets are available at the door for R50. Tickets to the David Easton workshop are R180 per person. To book and for further information call Andrew Humphris on 082 225 2315 or visit www.roomsonview.co.za.
