WITH the second South African Music Conference on the horizon, aspiring DJs can look forward to learning more about spinning the discs and creating a vibe.
The conference, taking place from 3 to 8 April at the Bassline in Newtown, will offer workshops on producing, DJing, mastering and engineering, as well as on music rights.
Deejays United will provide training for wannabe DJs. The company comprises South Africa's top talent, including DJ Fresh, Oskido, DJ Christos, Vinny da Vinci and Greg Maloka.

The aim of the conference is to position South Africa as a leading world destination for dancefloor addicts.
"No-one has really taken a step back and looked at the sustainability of the local dance music industry," say the DJs. "As one of the top five selling countries of dance music in the world, we are committed to the development our music industry to make it a force to be reckoned with internationally."
Following last year's successful conference at Carfax in Newtown, this year's conference has expanded and includes delegates from Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Mozambique.
International producers and DJs, including Little Louis Vega, Alex Alvares and French Master Roger, have been confirmed as guest speakers.
The conference will end on a high note with the mother of all parties, featuring more than 25 local and international A-list DJs on Saturday, 8 April.
Aspiring DJs and producers who are interested will have to pay R250, which will give them access to lectures, workshops and the closing party. Registration forms are available from record shops, including Soul Candi, House Afrika, For Real and Multi Racial.
The South African Music Conference is presented by Deejays United in association with Channel O, loveLife, Miller Genuine Draft and Y-FM.
