VIBRANT splashes of pink, red, yellow, blue and orange will bring colour to the streets of Hillbrow on Sunday, 2 October, during the Ziyabuya Spring Parade Festival.
Taking place in Joubert Park, in the inner city, the focus is on entertainment for children.
The aim of the event is to promote local artists, and 20 Gauteng groups will entertain festival-goers.
The day-long occasion is a collaboration between Lapeng Child and Family Resource Service and a non-formal art school, Creative Inner City Initiative.

Entertaining the children of the inner city
Children will dance the day away, but not before they march - the parade kicks off with a children's parade, with youngsters wearing animal costumes.
Setting off from the park, the parade will swing down King George Street to Constitution Hill, down Kotze Street to join Pretoria Street, then on to Claim Street, to Wolmarans Street, and down King George Street to return to Joubert Park at 11am.
And then the real fun begins.
There will be dance, poetry, face painting, music, an art exhibition, clowns, magicians and puppetry.
More than 2 000 people are expected to gather in the park.
Initially, the festival was a single annual event, but the organisers felt it should be transformed into four, to celebrate all the seasons.
Some festivals claimed to be children's festivals, said Lapeng art director Jones Mathebula, but the children were often pushed into the background. But not Ziyabuya.
"We have 60 volunteers who will make sure children are well taken care of."
