EXECUTIVE MAYOR Amos Masondo is to host the inaugural City of Johannesburg Charity Golf Day on Wednesday 3 March at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club in Linksfield.
Participating in this event will be senior city officials including managers of the various City utilities and representatives of financial institutions that provide services to the City.
"The objective of this prestigious event is strengthen relations between the City of Johannesburg and its financial stakeholders," said organisers.
Golfers are set to tee off at11am on the course which has hosted the South African Open on numerous occasions.
Organisers hope for a sunny day following recent heavy rain over Joburg.
Later, Masondo will present a cheque of an undisclosed amount to a charity organisation.
