PROSPECTIVE voters still needing to register for next year's national elections can do so at their local municipal electoral offices.
The Independent Electoral Commission recently held a nationwide campaign to get some nine million people not yet on the voter's role to register. Only about 18-million, of a potential 27-million voters, were registered to vote in the 2004 elections, the IEC said.
People registering for the first time, or those needing to update their details because they have changed residential addresses, can do so at any local municipal electoral office during the week from 8am to 5pm. In Johannesburg these are in the People's Centres in all of the city's regions.
