in Soweto

August 5, 2003

By Lucky Sindane

PARTS of Soweto will be hit by water cuts on Wednesday 6 August, and residents will have to get their water from mobile water tankers.

Tladi, Phiri and Rockville will be without water from 8am to 4pm on 6 August, Johannesburg Water, the City's water and sanitation company, announced.

The company said the cuts were due to the installation of valves and it undertook "to have the interruption resolved as soon as possible".

For more information residents can call Johannesburg Water's 24-hour help line on (011) 688 1500.
